Do we have to replace our PARCS to switch parking software?
No. ParkingChief runs on the gates, cameras and pay stations you already own. Gated, gateless and hybrid sites all open the same kind of parking session, so one facility can mix them and you can modernize without replacing equipment.
Who holds the money when a driver pays?
You do. Card payments are direct charges that settle straight into the payment account in your own name, so funds never sit with ParkingChief and there is no payout delay from us. Stripe is the default processor and Square is supported as a second option; the payment layer is built as a provider seam, so adding another processor later does not change how you get paid.
Does ParkingChief take a cut of valet tips?
No. ParkingChief takes no fee of any kind on a gratuity. The card processor still charges its usual percentage on the full authorized amount, as it does on any card sale.
Does the driver need to download an app?
No. Scan-to-pay and pay-as-you-go both run in the phone browser with no download and no account. Valet parkers get an SMS e-ticket they can request their car from.
How long does it take to go live on the first location?
Weeks rather than quarters, because there is no hardware procurement in the path. Exact timing depends on your rates, zones and payment setup.
Can we run a pilot before committing the portfolio?
